The olive oil needs to be heated over a medium flame in a large pot.
For six to eight minutes, cook the chicken until thoroughly cooked.
Add the shrimp, onion, garlic, celery, and bell pepper to the pot and cook for another four minutes, or until the vegetables become soft.
Mix together the cayenne pepper, paprika, oregano, thyme, black pepper, and salt until well combined.
The diced tomatoes and chicken broth should be brought to a boil.
Brown rice can be added once the heat has been reduced to a low level.
After 25–30 minutes, the gumbo will be thick and the rice will be tender.
To the mixture, add chopped parsley and serve hot.
