Ingredients
  

For the Chicken

  • 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix 1 oz
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix 1 oz
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 6 pepperoncini peppers
  • 1/2 cup pepperoncini juice
  • 8 ounces cream cheese

  • Cooked rice
  • Mashed potatoes
  • Egg noodles
  • Toasted sandwich buns
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

Step 1: Prepare the slow cooker

  • Place the chicken breasts into the bottom of the crockpot in an even layer.

Step 2: Add seasoning

  • Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix and au jus mix evenly over the chicken.

Step 3: Add butter and peppers

  • Place the butter on top of the chicken and add the pepperoncini peppers.

Step 4: Pour the juice

  • Pour the pepperoncini juice around the chicken to add tangy flavor and moisture.

Step 5: Add cream cheese

  • Place the block of cream cheese on top. This will slowly melt into the sauce.

Step 6: Slow cook

  • Cover and cook on LOW for 6 hours or HIGH for 4 hours until the chicken becomes very tender.

Step 7: Shred the chicken

  • Use two forks to shred the chicken directly in the crockpot. Stir everything together until the sauce becomes creamy and coats the chicken.

Step 8: Serve

  • Serve hot over rice, mashed potatoes, or noodles and spoon extra sauce on top.
