Equipment

  • Blender or food processor (for smooth puree)
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Spatula
  • Measuring Cups and Spoons
  • Serving glasses, jars, or dessert bowls
  • Refrigerator for chilling

Ingredients

  • 2 cups ripe mango pulp about 2–3 large mangoes
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt or regular yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice

Optional Add-ins

  • 2 tablespoons whipped cream for extra airy texture
  • Chopped mango cubes for topping
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish
  • Crushed biscuits or granola for layering

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Mangoes

  • Peel and chop ripe mangoes. Blend them until you get a smooth, silky puree with no lumps.

Step 2: Mix the Base

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine mango puree, yogurt, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and honey if using.

Step 3: Blend Until Smooth

  • Whisk or blend everything together until the mixture becomes creamy and airy.

Step 4: Taste and Adjust

  • Taste the mixture. If your mangoes are very sweet, you may not need any extra sweetener.

Step 5: Chill the Mousse

  • Spoon the mixture into serving glasses or bowls. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours so it sets and becomes slightly firmer.

Step 6: Serve and Enjoy

  • Top with fresh mango cubes, mint leaves, or a drizzle of honey before serving.

Notes

  • Always use ripe mangoes for smooth texture
  • Chill the mousse for at least 2 hours for best consistency
  • Don’t overmix after chilling or it may lose fluffiness
  • Serve cold for best flavor experience
  • Use glass cups for a beautiful presentation
