Ingredients

  • 4 Boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil , or avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon Dried thyme, or oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon Freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Heat your oven to 425°F (220°C) for even cooking and a golden finish.
  • In a small bowl, combine the paprika, garlic powder, dried thyme, kosher salt, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.
  • Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. This helps the oil and spices stick better and gives a nice sear. Drizzle the chicken with olive oil (or avocado oil) and rub it evenly over each piece.
  • Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over both sides of the chicken breasts, pressing lightly so it adheres well.
  • Arrange the seasoned chicken breasts in a single layer in a baking dish or on a rimmed baking sheet. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, depending on the thickness of your chicken breasts. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C) when done (use a meat thermometer for accuracy).
  • The chicken should be removed from the oven and allowed to rest for five minutes. This helps the juices redistribute throughout the meat, keeping it moist and flavorful.
  • Slice, plate, and serve your perfectly baked chicken with your favorite sides or use it in salads, wraps, or pasta dishes.
