  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter(softened)
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 2 Large eggs
  • Chocolate shavings
  • Caramel sauce
  • Vanilla ice cream

Instructions
 

  • Butter and flour a 9-inch (23 cm) cake pan and preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Combine all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder in a medium bowl.
  • Softened butter and buttermilk should be blended until light and fluffy in a larger bowl.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract after adding the eggs one at a time.
  • Incorporate the flour mixture slowly into the butter mixture, stirring just until combined. Remix the mixture with the hot water.
  • In a cake pan, pour the batter and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Turn out onto a wire cooling rack after cooling for 10 minutes in the pan.
