Equipment

  • Baking tray
  • Parchment paper
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Spoon or spatula
  • Knife or pizza cutter
  • Pastry brush (optional but helpful)
  • Oven

Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup cooked chicken shredded
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried herbs oregano or parsley
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.

Step 2: Prepare the Filling

  • In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, mozzarella cheese, cream cheese, garlic powder, dried herbs, salt, and black pepper. Mix everything until the filling becomes creamy and evenly combined. The cream cheese helps bind everything together while adding richness.

Step 3: Prepare the Dough

  • Open the crescent roll can carefully and unroll the dough onto a clean surface. Separate it into triangles along the perforated lines.

Step 4: Add the Filling

  • Take a spoonful of the prepared filling and place it at the wider end of each triangle. Be careful not to overfill, as this can cause the rolls to open while baking.

Step 5: Roll the Crescents

  • Starting from the wide end, gently roll each triangle toward the tip, tucking the filling inside. Slightly curve the ends to create that classic crescent shape.

Step 6: Brush and Bake

  • Arrange the rolls on the prepared tray. Brush the tops lightly with melted butter for extra flavor and a golden finish. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until the rolls are beautifully golden brown.

Step 7: Serve Warm

  • Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them warm when the cheese is still melty and the pastry is perfectly flaky.

Notes

  • Chill the filling slightly if it feels too soft
  • Don’t skip brushing butter—it adds flavor and color
  • Bake on the middle rack for even cooking
  • Serve immediately for best texture
