Cuisine Asian
- 4 teaspoons sesame oil
- 4 garlic minced
- 4 teaspoons minced ginger
- ½ cup all-purpose soy sauce
- 6 tablespoons honey
- 6 tablespoons dark brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
Heat the sesame oil, garlic, and ginger in a small saucepan over medium heat for about 30 seconds or until it turns slightly brown.
Once the remaining ingredients have been combined, stir them together well.
Approximately 8-10 minutes after reducing the sauce by half, continue cooking.
When it's hot, it won't coat the back of a spoon, and it will be watery. As it cools, though, it will thicken. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving, but do not let it sit on the stove for too long.
After removing the pan from the heat, let the mixture cool for about 10 minutes so it thickens. A spatula or spoon can be used to run a line down the middle before it pools back together.
It can be used for any recipe you want.
