Cuisine American
- 1/3 teaspoon Cumin powder
- 1/3 teaspoon Chili powder
- 1/2 cup Cubed carrots
- 1/2 cup Water
- 1/2 cup Cubed white onion
- 1/2 cup Distilled white vinegar
- 1 small Red bell pepper (cubed)
- 1 cup Dried Arbol peppers (55 or 60 count)
- 1 tablespoon Fresh cilantro
- 1 stalk Medium celery
- Black pepper to taste
- Salt to taste
Roast the dried Arbol peppers for 15 minutes or until lightly charred on a baking sheet at 350 degrees. Let cool before handling after removing from heat.
Blend or process the roasted Arbol peppers until smooth.
For about five minutes, cook the cubed bell pepper, celery, carrot, and onion in a heated pan over medium heat.
The cooked vegetables should be combined with pureed Arbol peppers.
In a small bowl, whisk together salt, black pepper, cumin powder, and chili powder.
Simmer water and distilled white vinegar together for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, in a saucepan.
Make any necessary adjustments to the seasoning by tasting the sauce. After the sauce has been cooked, allow it to cool completely before serving it or storing it in an air-tight container for up to two weeks in the refrigerator.
