For the frozen cooler
- 4 cups seedless watermelon cubed
- 2 cups strawberries hulled
- 2 cups ice cubes
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 2 tablespoons honey or sugar optional
- 1/2 cup cold coconut water or regular cold water
- 6 to 8 fresh mint leaves
Optional garnish ideas
- Lime slices
- Fresh mint sprigs
- Small strawberry halves
- Watermelon wedges
- Tajín seasoning on the rim
Step 1: Prep the fruit
Cut the watermelon into cubes and remove any seeds if needed. Hull the strawberries and rinse them well.
If you want an extra thick frozen cooler, place the watermelon cubes and strawberries in the freezer for about 1 hour before blending.
Step 2: Add ingredients to blender
Add the watermelon, strawberries, ice cubes, lime juice, coconut water, mint leaves, and honey into a high-speed blender.
Step 3: Blend until smooth
Blend on high speed until the mixture looks smooth and slushy.
If the blender struggles, stop and stir everything once or twice. Add a splash of water if needed.
Step 4: Taste and adjust
Taste the cooler before serving.
Need more sweetness? Add a little honey.
Want more tang? Add extra lime juice.
Want it frostier? Add more ice.
Step 5: Serve immediately
Pour into chilled glasses and garnish with fresh mint, strawberries, or watermelon wedges.
Serve immediately while thick and icy.
