What are Lucky Charms Rice Crispy Treats?

This is a fun variation of Rice crispy treats called Lucky Charms Rice Crispy Treats. This is not merely puffed rice cereal, but rather combines in Lucky Charms, that sweet, colorful cereal full of cute marshmallow shapes. Together with butter and melted marshmallows, it makes a chewy, crispy, gooey dessert bar that is visually attractive and sugary adorable.

The first time I tried Lucky Charms Rice Crispy Treats was.

I first prepared these when I was attending a St. Patrick’s Day party at my child’s school. I was looking for a Christmasy recipe that was simple to prepare, and these cookies were fantastic!

When I took the cereal mixture and pressed it into the pan, and the brightly coloured rainbow charms looked up at me through the gooey bottom, I knew that they would be a success.

The most excellent bit? Kids were not the only ones who were psyched; parents were also sneaking bites. They have since been my staple for themed parties and bake sales.

Ingredients

4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) unsalted butter

One 10-ounce bag (about 6 cups) of mini marshmallows

5 cups Lucky Charms cereal

1 ½ cups crisped rice cereal (like Rice Krispies)

½ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional, but recommended)

Pinch of salt (balances the sweetness)

Tip: Reserve about ½ cup of marshmallow charms to press on top for visual appeal.

Instructions To Make Lucky Charms Rice Crispy Treats

1. Ready the Pan

Lightly spray a 913-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray or use parchment paper so that the bars can easily be removed. Set aside.
