- One pound of beef steak cut into ½-inch thick slices
- 2 teaspoon Olive Oil
- 1 piece of White Onion, thinly sliced
- 1 cup Beef Broth
- ¼ cup Light Soy Sauce
- ¼ teaspoon Sugar
- ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
- ½ teaspoon Hot Pepper Sauce
- 1 piece Green Capsicum
- 1 piece Yellow Capsicum
- 1 piece Red Capsicum
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 2 teaspoon Cornstarch
- ¼ cup Cold Water
Set aside sautéed capsicums on a plate after heating oil and sauteed capsicums in a skillet.
Sauté garlic and onions in the same skillet until they are soft and tender. The garlic and onion should be transferred to a plate after they have been cooked.
The beef steak strips should now be sautéed until they are browned. Taking the beef out of the skillet, set it aside on a plate.
Add the hot pepper sauce, sugar, soy sauce, black pepper, and beef broth to the skillet and heat the mixture. The beef, onion, and garlic should be simmered for 30 minutes.
The tomatoes should be simmered for 5 minutes until they are soft and pulpy. Add cornstarch slurry to the skillet after mixing ¼ cup of water and cornstarch. The sauce needs to be thickened for a few minutes.
The capsicum can be added last, and you'll need to cook it for one minute.
White rice is a good accompaniment to Jamaican pepper steak.
