- 2 large Chicken breasts (sliced into cubes)
- 1/2 cup Flour
- 1/2 teaspoon each of salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 2 tablespoons Minced garlic
- 1 cup Chicken broth
- 1 cup Heavy cream
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Red pepper flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon Each of oregano and thyme
- 1/3 cup Chopped sun dried tomatoes
- 1 19 ounce Bag of frozen tortellini
A shallow dish can be used to mix the flour, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and paprika.
Dredge the chicken breasts in the flour mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated on both sides.
Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat.
Cook the chicken for 4–5 minutes per side or until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Take the chicken out of the skillet and set it aside.
In the same skillet, add minced garlic, sundried tomatoes, and chicken broth. Stir to combine.
Reduce the heat to low and add the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Stir until the cheese melts.
Mix in the red pepper flakes, oregano, and thyme. Let the sauce simmer for a few minutes.
Add 1 bag of frozen tortellini to the skillet. Cover and cook for a few minutes or until the tortellini is tender.
Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and heat through.
Serve immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese or herbs if desired.
